EXCHANGE POLICY

Dhakeswari Bastralaya is committed to providing its customers a complete shopping satisfaction. We strive to enhance the customers shopping experience. Our return policies are created by keeping you in mind and we ensure you that you will be satisfied with this steps. However, it is always unfortunate when you may have to exchange or return a product. But before you return a product, please take a moment to understand how the products are made.

*All the products are crafted by traditional craft persons in rural India, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other. Let’s not think of an irregular weave or print or a stitch as a defect. Saree or shawl weaving by definition means a glorious uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.*

Please read below our exchange, return and cancellation policies before you wish to exchange or return any item.

DOMESTIC ORDERS:-

If a customer cancels an order before the order has been shipped, Dhakeswari Bastralaya may accept the order cancellation and refund the amount to the customer within a reasonable period. In such cases, the order amount will be refunded but with any transaction fee charged by the bank deducted. Please note that if the order is shipped then we will not be able to cancel the order and neither the customer will be entitled to any refund.

For claiming the exchange, return or refund, customers must comply with the following conditions :

You can request our customer care to get a confirmation on exchange, return or refund eligibility of the order.

Orders are only eligible for exchange, return or refund that are

A.) Clearly defective or damaged.

B.) Photos of defect or damage are e-mailed to us at [email protected] within 3 days of receiving the product.

C.) Return shipment for the product must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the product.

D.) The shipping charges for sending the products back has to be borne by the customer.

E.) Once the product is received back, a quality check would be done by our team.

F.) Products for exchange should be returned unused, unwashed with all tags and in original condition intact. Returns that are damaged or soiled will not be accepted and may be sent back to the customers.

G.) Unidentified returns may be returned to the sender.

H.) Orders placed for gift vouchers are not eligible for exchange return or refund.

I.) While returning, please make sure that the original packing is intact when the product is picked up and you have mentioned the order details and complete shipping address on the parcel.

J.) No exchange, return or refund request would be accepted if the exchange, return or refund request is raised after 3 days of receiving the product.

K.) Exchange is not possible if the sari has fall and pico done to it or the attached blouse piece is removed from the sari.

L.) During exchange, the product you ordered for exchange is of higher amount you have to pay the balance amount with the shipping charges. And if the exchanged product is of lower amount, we would ship the product and the balance would be adjusted thru a credit note, which you can use it for your next purchase.

M.) Dhakeswari Bastralaya, will not accept any requests for exchange for the reasons for dissatisfaction with colour, size, shape or quality of the product unless there is damage or defect.

*Please note, we do not accept any refund, return or exchange in cases of weaving artifacts such as weft direction faults, loose weft, warp streaks, tight or slack pick, tails out etc because these are not considered as defects. Please also note that no returns or refunds shall be allowed if the customer is dissatisfied with the color, size, shape, quality of the product, only exchange is allowed in such cases.*

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:-

Unfortunately, we do not have an exchange policy for international customers.

If you have to cancel an order, please do so before your order is shipped. Shipping charges are non-refundable once the order is dispatched. If you cancel your order before your product has been shipped, we will refund the amount but with any transaction fee charged by the bank deducted. Please note that if the order is shipped then we will not be able to cancel the order and neither the customer will be entitled to any refund.

If you have received the product and find any defect in it, the same can be returned within 7 days. You can request our customer care to get a confirmation on return and refund with a photo of the defect on the product within 3 days of receiving the product to our email address at, [email protected].

The customer are responsible for paying any custom charges on the return along with the return shipment charges.

Dhakeswari Bastralaya will examine the returned products for defects highlighted in the customers refund request email. In the event of false, frivolous or baseless complaints regarding the delivery or quality of the products, the customer will not be eligible for refund or replacement.

Refund shall be made to the same issuing bank through which the product was purchased, using the same payment mode. Refunds are only processed within 7-10 working business days after receiving the product and checked by our team.
